To set the scene... driving along, the sun was setting on one side of the road in the most gorgeous shades of orange, yellow, pink, and gold, and on the other was this beautiful and vast cotton field in full bloom that stretched for acres. The beauty of fall in Alabama takes my breath away. I love the simple moments when we are are able to appreciate the beauty of the Lord's creation. All of it is so amazing. From the colors of the sky to the plants growing in the fields. It is mind blowing to me that this is where much of the fashion we wear begins, the cotton plant. These blooms, the cotton bolls, are harvested, spun, weaved, dyed, and produced into the fabric that makes up many of the items hanging in our closets. I am so thankful for those that put in countless hours of labor to make this process even possible! It is so cool to think about all of the hands and lives that help to create the garments we wear. I am also thankful for the beautiful backdrop that these cotton fields provide to road trips! I could stare in wonder at them for miles and miles...
