Farewell to Raf Simons at Dior

I am shocked at today's news that that Raf Simons has decided to step down from his Creative Director position at Dior. Since his time at Dior, the couture label has caught my attention more than ever, and I have fallen in love with his designs. The energy and modernity of his collections have all been not only stunning, but mesmerizing. Each of his sets for every Dior runway show since 2013 have blown me away (I cannot get the floor to ceiling flowers from the fall 2012 collection out of my head) . I am also so very thankful for his willingness to open the House of Dior to the public eye (and fashion obsessed viewers like myself) in the Dior and I film. The world of fashion can be so illusive sometimes, especially haute couture, and I love that he allowed the public to see bits and pieces of all of the creativity and hard work that goes on behind the scenes of an haute couture collection. Thank you, Raf Simons, for sharing your amazing talent with the world!

A couple of sketches of my favorite designs of Raf Simons for Dior:

In honor of his incredible time at Dior, I wanted to share some of my favorite designs from the past few seasons:
