I am so so happy to be a part of ShopStyle’s Bloggers Give Campaign with Dress for Success today! For those that may not be familiar with it, Dress for Success is an incredible non-profit organization that helps women across the globe strive towards economic independence by "providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.” They have touched the lives of and helped over 850,000 women!! I absolutely love hearing stories of women empowering other women! When I think about the people who have helped empower me, the first thing that comes to mind is my mom and sister. Without their love, support, and encouragement, I would not be who I am today. I am forever thankful for all they have done and continue to do for me. Secondly, I think the entire creative community of women has definitely helped empower me. I love seeing women entrepreneurs and creatives achieving amazing things, and there are so many bloggers, artists, and designers that inspire me! I have especially loved building relationships and supporting other bloggers and creatives through this medium!
Now for the fashion details….
For today’s “power outfit,” I paired a simple silk Vince dress (in one of my favorite shades of pink, of course) with a black leather jacket and my favorite heels! When it comes to “dressing for success,” my go-to tip is to wear a pair of statement shoes. A great pair of heels or a special pair of flats can totally change a look and elevate the style of an outfit. Also, I think there’s something about a pair of statement shoes that always adds a little more confidence and energy to the outfit!
My favorite part of this outfit is the gorgeous beaded wrap necklace by Reese Jewelry Collection. I absolutely LOVE the tassel detailing on it! RJC is created by a super talented friend of mine, Katie Reese! Her designs are so unique and beautiful… take a look and shop all her jewelry here!
