Designs by LCB Vol. 2

Happy Tuesday! I am so happy to share another design that I made. After I finished this pink maxi skirt a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted to try to make another maxi skirt using *4 ply* crepe de chine instead of the extremely delicate 2 ply that I used for the pink one.  Again, both of these skirts are definitely practice and not perfect at all, but it has been such a joy making my own garments and learning more about the small details of apparel construction.

A few things I learned this time around...

-4 ply crepe de chine is SO much easier to work with than 2 ply

-pleats can never be pressed enough

-pleats are definitely a challenge (read: time consuming)

-don't use a nude colored zipper with a dark fabric (for future reference!)

-good posture makes sewing a lot less painful
