Designs by LCB Vol. 3

dress: by lcb | shoes: chanel | watch: michele | bracelets: david yurman | tote: traders and co. | monogram necklace: max & chloe

After making several skirts, I knew I wanted to design something new- like a LWD. It did not take long before I had set my mind on making a feminine fit and flare dress. After browsing some fabrics, I chose this white textured cotton for its heavier fabric content and for the added interest the texture brings to the dress. As soon as I received the fabric, I got to work and finished this dress in just under 48 hours, because I was so excited to see it come together!

I think my favorite thing about designing clothes so far has been being able to make clothes that not only fit, but that fit well. After studying more about fit in depth this past semester, I have noticed how big a role it plays in the presentation of a garment. Being able to tailor clothes to my exact measurements has taught me that it's hard to label your size with just one number or letter... there are so many more measurements to take into account!

The fit and flare style of this dress is one I come back to season after season. I love this style for its versatility and sophistication. I think this dress style is one that looks equally as cute day or night. I decided to style it here for a daytime look with my favorite flats and simple gold accessories. I love the simple and sophisticated look of white and gold, especially for Summer!
