Breezy Blue

If I had two words to describe this day, they would have to be "breezy" and "blue." "Breezy" for the crisp wind that cooled off the 88 degree temperature, and "blue" for both the vast sky and gorgeous ocean!
Many of you may have seen Monday's post about Packed Party and the charming gold necklace that came with me to the beach! The Doorstep Necklace has quickly become one of my favorite new accessories; not just for the dainty gold chain and pretty doorstep pendant, but more importantly for the story behind it. A doorstep is such a meaningful thing. In the words of the founder of Packed Party, Jordan, explains in her blog post: "My doorstep I grew up with, like so many people, served as the setting for so many amazing memories. School dance photos, play date pick-ups, first days of school departures, or life chats with my dad always happened right there on the three steps leading to our home." Being someone who loves home (I'm not sure I know anyone that is a bigger homebody than me!!) and all the wonderful memories made there, I love having this necklace around my neck as such a pretty reminder of it.
Also, each and every Doorstep Necklace is customized and engraved with the address of where you call home. I chose to have the numbers "2900" inscribed on mine, because these numbers were the address of the house I spent my elementary, junior high, and high school years making memories in. We moved from this house the same summer I left for college, and in some ways, it felt like the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. Even though that house is no longer "home", it will forever be a little part of me!
