Gift Guide: Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays, because who doesn't love another excuse to eat chocolate and receive pretty flowers? It is also the perfect day to remember God's perfect love. He is the one who taught us how to love, the one who loves us unconditionally, the one who laid down his life for us, and the one who, because of his great love, allows us to live in freedom everyday!
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. I have always viewed Valentine's Day as the unofficial entrance to spring, because it gives everyone a reason to put away the dark colors and pull out all the brighter ones! Personally, Valentine's Day is also an excuse for me to purchase a couple of fun new pink and red items and maybe a few heart shaped ones too! I also love finding cute happy gifts for my mom and sister! How adorable is this heart fringe pouch? And this wildfox top (I'd definitely wear this year round)? I purchased these a few weeks ago, and I cannot wait to wear them for Valentine's Day... the color is perfect! And, they're surprisingly super comfortable!
