Wardrobe Essentials: Crossbody Bag

When it comes to "essential" bags for every wardrobe, a crossbody bag is a must! As much as I love a pretty handbag that you can wear over your shoulder, there is something so chic, simple and effortless about a pretty crossbody bag. I personally have always found myself drawn to crossbody bags, because I don't like carrying much with me except the essentials, and they all fit in a smaller bag. The first "designer" bag I got in junior high was a blush pink Marc Jacobs "Totally Turnlock-Percy" bag like this one, and I think that started my love for crossbody purses. I seriously wore it everywhere and with everything! A good crossbody bag will carry you through every season and can be worn with nearly every outfit!

Now let's discuss my favorites... The saddle style crossbody is the "style of the season" and I love the casual look of them! This brown one and this black one are my favorites! My usual go to brands for crossbody bags are Rebecca Minkoff, Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, and Kate Spade. For more investment crossbodies, I love Gucci, Chloe, Prada, and Valentino! In the past year, Chloe has totally taken the cross body bag game to a whole new level with the trendy Drew, Faye, and Marcie bags. I have also been really drawn to colorful and playful bags with embellishments/ tassels recently... this one is so fun!
