Winter at The Greenbrier: Day Three

Continuing on with my recap of our recent trip to the beautiful Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia today! Day three at the Greenbrier was filled with delicious food, cooler weather, and one of my favorite annual events- The Greenbrier Christmas Tree Lighting. See my outfits and favorite activities from day three below!

DAY THREE

DAY OUTFIT

A few days before our trip, I found this soft sweater with the prettiest layered ruffle sleeves and knew it would be a great staple item to have and layer with more cold weather pieces. For day three, I wore it with white jeans, over the knee boots, and layered on a furry vest for warmth. The Fred + Sibel brand is new to me, but I really love so many of their other pieces too- like this, this (under $100), and this

MAIN DINING ROOM BREAKFAST BUFFET

If you followed along on insta stories during our trip, then you know how much I loved starting off everyday at The Greenbrier with the most delicious breakfast buffet in the Main Dining Room. From the freshest fruit, to waffles, to muffins and pastries, to made-to-order omelettes, the breakfast buffet has it ALL. My favorites are the buttermilk pancakes and strawberries- it's the best combo!

NIGHT OUTFIT

Saturday night was probably my favorite evening of the trip because of all the fun events happening at the hotel. The arrival and anticipation of all the guests and visitors waiting for the Christmas Tree Lighting and holiday events made for a really cheerful afternoon and night! For Saturday evening's events, I wore a head to toe blush pink look- this lace dress, this furry coat, and these velvet heels. This coat has to be one of my favorite purchases of the season!

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

On each Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas, The Greenbrier hosts their annual Christmas Tree Lightings on the front lawn for all the resort guests, and it is one of the most spirit-filled and joyful events of the season. On Saturday night, we gathered around the ginormous Greenbrier Christmas tree, sang Christmas carols, and sipped hot chocolate as we awaited Santa's arrival. In traditional Greenbrier fashion, Santa arrived on a horse drawn carriage and lit up the Greenbrier tree. It was truly magical!

CAFE CARLTON OPENING

After the tree lighting, we made our way inside the hotel for the Cafe Carlton soft opening, where we were treated to the most fabulous food and drinks to celebrate the opening night of one of the Greenbrier's newest culinary experiences. Cafe Carlton, a caberet style bar, invites you into Greenbrier luxury and takes you to another world. The red velvet seating, the tableside made-to-order drinks, and the live piano music makes Cafe Carlton the most ideal evening spot for gathering with friends and family at The Greenbrier!

DINNER AT PRIME 44

As if we hadn't already had enough delicious food for the night, after the Cafe Carlton opening we made our way upstairs to Prime 44, my favorite restaurant at The Greenbrier, for dinner. We dined on lobster popcorn, lobster mashed potatoes, and the tastiest steak. It was most definitely a culinary night to remember!

Thank you to The Greenbrier for partnering with me on this amazing stay!
