I love clothing with a story, and every Mi Golondrina design tells a beautiful story. Christina Lynch, the designer of Mi Golondrina, creates garments that reflect the color and vibrancy of her family's Mexican heritage. The fabric and embroidery of each handmade garment tells such an amazing story of the talented and creative women in Mexico that have been embroidering and creating colorful fashion designs for over one hundred years. When I visited Dallas in April for the rewardStyle Conference, one place my sister and I knew we had to visit while we were in town was the Mi Golondrina showroom. After being big fans of the brand for a couple years, Katherine and I were so excited to see more gorgeous Mi Golondrina designs in person. Unfortunately, I got caught up in meetings at the conference and was unable to go shopping, but luckily Katherine was still able to stop by and pick up a few pretty Mi Golondrina pieces for us! This top is one of my favorite things Katherine brought home, and I quickly claimed it as mine (what would sisters be for if not for sharing clothes?!). :) I've already worn it several times, and I can't get over the beautiful blue and white gingham print, the feminine off the shoulder style, and the gorgeous lace detailing on the sleeves. The shape of the sleeves and the way the light shines through the lace is so unique!
I wore this top at the lake last week with these white jeans, white espadrilles (similar), and my favorite bamboo bag (also comes in black). I wanted to let the top be the focus of my outfit, so I was sure to keep everything else white and neutral. I have been wearing these aviator sunglasses constantly lately (y'all may have noticed on instagram). These sunglasses are such a classic and refreshing change from some of the more trendy sunglasses in stores right now, and the best part is that they go with everything. I really love how light and comfortable they are too!

P.s. Katherine, if you're reading this, I'll be sure to return your top soon ;)
