Yesterday, we got a slight taste of fall in Alabama with temperatures dropping below 70 degrees. This is very rare in August for us, so I took full advantage of it by pulling out my favorite long sleeve stripe tee and navy anorak. Navy and white is a color combo that I rely on year round and a timeless one that never ever gets old!
To add a little more interest and detail to my navy and white look, I wore a few of my favorite accessories: white tassel earrings (these by Lisi Lerch are my new favorites on repeat), this white Neely and Chloe crossbody bag, Chanel flats (similar here), and this pretty gold MICHELE watch. I love how the black cap toe of the shoes complements the black ribbon trim of the hat to pull the whole outfit together from head to toe!
One key to keeping your outfits looking upbeat and stylish during the transitional season is layering. Making smart purchases and adding the right jackets and coats to your wardrobe to layer on top of your everyday outfits can make all the difference. Since this transitional season can tend to be a bit more rainy than others, a chic rain jacket (like this navy one) is a wardrobe essential!
