Wow, what a whirlwind this past week has been! After a busy few days in NYC, I flew home this weekend just in time to surprise my big sister (she thought I had changed my flight to stay a few days longer) and celebrate her engagement! See a little more BTS on my Insta story here!

Things are definitely not slowing down anytime soon, because I am spending this week catching up/ getting ahead before leaving this weekend for a really exciting destination. Cannot wait to share where I’m headed!

In the meantime, let’s talk fashion! While sometimes I very much gravitate towards color, this season so far I have really been drawn to all the neutral things: black jeans, tan coats, beige sweaters, black booties, etc! Almost everything I packed for NYC (see my packing list here) fell into the neutral color family, which made it really easy to create lots of outfits out of the same items.

Today’s outfit is one that I will probably be wearing over and over again this winter. It’s such an easy look to throw together and looks a little fancier than it feels. A cape is such a chic way to dress up a look but also be super comfortable. I borrowed this cape from my sister, and it is no longer in stores, but I found a similar one that you could create the same look with under $50 here. See more capes I love below!

Also these booties have been one of my favorite recent purchases for winter. I found them just before my trip to NYC and wore them nearly everyday while I was in the city. They are under $200 and come in three more colors here!
