One of the highlights of our time in Palm Beach was attending the U.S. Open Polo Championship on Sunday at IPC! The U.S. Open is the grand finale of the high goal polo season in Wellington, Florida, and this year's final was an extremely exciting matchup between two really strong teams: Valiente and Daily Racing Form. While the forecast did not look promising leading up to the big day, luckily the skies cleared Sunday afternoon (after a couple of downpours) and the game went on as planned. The thundering clouds and shifting skies definitely added to the excitement and thrill of the game, and Daily Racing Form came out on top to take the winning title!

After getting soaked in the rain at IPC, I was very thankful that we took photos of this outfit before the event at The Colony Hotel (our lovely home for the long weekend) for me to share with y'all on the blog! People come from all over the world and wear all sorts of different styles to polo, which is one of the fun things about the sport. You can usually spot people in a little bit of everything as far as fashion goes. From feminine mini dresses, to distressed jeans, to linen maxi dresses, to summery shorts, flowing skirts, and everything in-between, there is never a true dress code for polo.

Being someone who uses any excuse to get a little dressed up, I went the mini dress route and wore this little blue Self Portrait dress. I have been a loyal Self Portrait fan ever since I first purchased and wore their iconic Azaelea dress a couple of years ago (see my post here). This past fall I had the dream opportunity to go backstage at their show at NYFW and meet Mr. Self Portrait himself, Han Chong. I will forever be loyal to his brand that continually designs dresses that wow me and fit like a glove.

When I spotted this standout lace dress, I fell in love with the layered lace, one shoulder style, endless ruffles, and powder blue color. A few weeks after I first noticed the dress online, I saw it went on sale at Neiman Marcus, and I could not pass up the deal. The pretty blue dress sat in the back of my closet for a few weeks before I was finally able to pack it up and bring it with me to Palm Beach for Sunday's big game.

Lucky for you, the dress is now back ON SALE and available in all sizes. Shop this dress 25% off here (sale ends Monday, May 7th)! For reference, I am wearing a size 0, and I would say this dress runs true to size. Sometimes Self Portrait dresses do run a bit small, but because of the one shoulder style, I would recommend purchasing your normal size. See and shop a few more of my favorite Self Portrait dresses on sale below!
