Beauty Talk: 5 Uses for Palmer's Cocoa Butter

If there is one thing I love trying… it’s new beauty products! It is nearly impossible for me to walk out of Target, Sephora, or our local drugstore without a handful of new beauty things to try. From face masks to nail polishes and everything in between, I love coming home and having a “spa night”- treating myself to a long shower, warm cup of tea, and testing out my newest beauty finds.

As a blogger I absolutely love when I get emails from new-to-me beauty brands, giving me a chance to learn about new products I may have never otherwise heard about. This is how I discovered my go-to mascara and favorite full coverage foundation. A few weeks ago, a new-to-me brand Palmer’s reached out about trying their original “Cocoa Butter,” and I was so intrigued when I clicked through to their website and saw the list of over 100 uses for this one product! I am very selective about products I agree to receive, but after seeing this list and delving deeper on their website I was so curious about the Cocoa Butter and was dying to get my hands on it.

Palmer’s was super kind to send me a jar of Cocoa Butter to try out, and after using the product for a few weeks I am totally hooked. Well really I was hooked the very first time I opened the jar- the cocoa smell was enough to win me over. It smells so delicious- like rich, soft cocoa (if that makes any sense). I mentioned the product on my Insta story last week and was so surprised by how many of you love and have been using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter for years! I feel like I have been living in the dark and definitely missing out.

Very glad to longer be in the dark about this miracle product in a jar. Today I want to share 5 of the ways I have incorporated Palmer’s Cocoa Butter into my skincare routine!

  1. DAILY LIP BALM

I have been applying this to my lips after I wash my face morning and night, and I love the way it leaves my lips feeling silky smooth and very nourished.

2. SOOTHES CUTICLES

For dry cuticles, Cocoa Butter works wonders! I love how it leaves my hands not only looking prettier but feeling so soft too! It’s a great product to apply before pushing back/trimming your cuticles for a manicure.

3. REMOVES MAKEUP

For a gentle way to remove makeup, apply Cocoa Butter to your face and wash with a warm washcloth. It’s such a nice change up from using makeup remover wipes!

4. SOOTHES DRY SKIN

This is where Cocoa Butter really works wonders. My skin has been a bit dried out lately, and this stuff has helped so much- making my skin much softer and smoother without any redness.

5. Mix with foundation for lighter coverage

I love mixing my foundations with a moisturizer to keep them from getting too dark. I usually prefer light coverage to full coverage, and the Cocoa Butter has been great for mixing with my new foundation to get just the right amount of color!
