ALL ABOUT THE BAG

“MAX MINI”

Meet the Max Mini by J. Lowery! This pretty little white and gold bag is my new BFF, and you will surely be seeing it around the blog quite a bit over the coming weeks and months… so I figured it was best to give it a proper intro with a blog post to tell you all about it!

This little Max Mini bag is one those pieces that has had me itching to dress up and go somewhere fun! I cannot wait to wear it out and about… but for now, we will pretend with today’s outfit post.

The Max Mini is a miniature version of its big sis “The Max” by J. Lowery, but don’t let the “Mini” name mislead you. This bag fits quite a bit to be a “small bag.” I’d say it is actually on the bigger side of small bags! It fits all the essentials- phone, keys, sunglasses, wallet/ card case, with room left to spare.

The Max Mini measures 7in H x 6.5in W x 4.75in D and is lined with a soft, smooth suede interior. She has a drawstring closure, which I love for securing all the goodies inside. I love bucket bags but haven’t always loved spilling things out of them, so I really appreciate the drawstring closure that solves that problem! The size of this bag makes it ideal for just about any occasion- day or night. The leather handle feels soft and sturdy… and just right for day time. While the gold crossbody chain dresses it up and makes the bag feel perfectly glam for a night out!

When it came time for choosing the color of this new handbag, I debated between a few different shades (the Black Croc, Camel, and Dove Blue Python are all so pretty) but so happy the white one found its way into my closet! The contrast of the bright white and chic gold link chain make it perfectly feminine and sophisticated. The bright white is the perfect pop against some of my more colorful dresses and spring/summer favorites… cannot wait to style her lots of different ways throughout the coming seasons!

This pretty bag is handmade in the USA with vegetable-tanned Italian calf leather, and I can tell you first hand the leather of this bag is the good stuff. The incredibly rich leather smell won me over as I unboxed the bag for the first time. The Max Mini smells like a brand new pair of riding boots or a pretty tack room in a barn. You just can’t beat that pure leather smell! I know this is a leather handbag that will wear beautifully over time.

WHY I LOVE THE
J. LOWERY BRAND

I first discovered the J. Lowery brand several months back when I saw a friend share their brand on Instagram stories. I popped over to their profile and was immediately drawn to their beautiful brand images… and of course their gorgeous handbags!

After reading more about their brand, I was so excited to discover that J. Lowery was started by two friends turned Co-Founders, and all of their beautiful bags are handmade in the USA. J. Lowery was founded by life long friends Jamey and Margaret with a mission to “create meaningful accessories for the people who inspire and influence [them] each day,” and they hope to “design beautiful, quality pieces that fit seamlessly into your lifestyle and personal aesthetic. Distinctive handbags that are understated, effortless, and confident—Much like the women who carry them.” I have so much respect for small businesses and brands like J. Lowery who design and manufacture their gorgeous designs here in the USA… now more than ever!

I love so much about the J. Lowery brand- their designs are classic yet perfectly modern, all under $450, beautifully versatile and will definitely stand the test of time!
