Shopping Bag + Shoe Box Wall Collage

Over several years, I have collected pretty shoe boxes or special shopping bags in the back of my closet. A year or so ago, I put these to use and made a collage of the bags/ shoe boxes framed. As more time has passed, I have accumulated even more pretty shopping bags and boxes, so I decided to do a little DIY and add them to the wall!

To begin, these were the new boxes that I had gathered:

Next, I made a list of what frames I would need for each box. For the larger ones, I used a 14x18 frame, and for the smaller ones I used 8x10, 5x7 or 4x6 frames.

Then, I took apart the bags/ boxes to cut them into the frame's size. The best way to do this is to take the glass out of the frames, lay it on top of the bag/ box, and trace the outline on the bag/ box for you to cut. To make the edges nicer, I only cut out the cardboard from the box, wrapped the remaining paper around the edges and taped it to the back. After the bag/ box is cut, you can simply slide it into the frame as if it was just a picture and put the back on the frame.

... and this is the finished (for now) wall!
