Year after year, the arrival of fall transports me back to my never-ending love and appreciation of equestrian style (see last fall's post here). It may be due to the beginning of a fresh new season, or because of all my fall weekends spent around horses at the farm, or maybe it's from the pure joy of pulling out my riding boots for the first time each year. Whatever it may be, the beginning of fall always causes me to return to the simple, elegant, and chic equestrian inspired fashion.
I admire so many things about the equestrian style and, being around horses my whole life, I draw so much inspiration from everything about it- from the buckles, harnesses, saddles, leather, riding boots, jodhpurs, neck tie tops, plaid blazers, neutral colors, and SO much more. Specifically, the polo sport is a big inspiration to me this time of year, because I love spending time with my family supporting my Dad and brother at polo matches during the fall season. There is nothing more classic than the polo style of white jeans, dark boots, and collared shirts. Fall to me repreents a return to the classics through equestrian influenced style.
Of course, it is not totally realistic to dress everyday head to toe in equestrian gear, so I wanted to share a few ways I always bring some equestrian style into my wardrobe for fall and winter. Four of my favorite ways to incorporate equestrian style into my daily outfits is through riding boots, collared shirts, blazers, and saddle bags. I am sharing my favorite finds in each category below!
1. Riding Boots
my go-to brands are Frye and Tory Burch
If you are looking for some equestrian fashion to add to your closet, I would start by heading to Ralph Lauren. I always come back to their classic polos, button downs, and and sweaters every year! For 30% off through October 3, use code "FAMILY" at checkout.
