When I realized that I would not be spending this year’s Fourth of July in Palm Beach due to Coronavirus, I was determined to bring a little bit of that Palm Beach flair to Alabama to celebrate with family here! I am missing my beach town so much, and I wanted to bring a little bit of that color, whimsy, and beauty that surrounds me everyday in Palm Beach to our family’s Fourth of July celebration in Alabama.
One of my favorite shops on Palm Beach to stop into is always Amanda Lindroth- she has the cutest space on South County Road next door to Surfside Diner (a favorite for breakfast and lunch). As soon as you step in, you are immediately transported to an island escape filled with wicker glassware, woven trays, and colorful linens in every shade of the rainbow. Her shop makes you dream of island living and the casual elegance of a beachy indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
I had the chance to hear Amanda speak at this year’s Southern C Summit in Sea Island and loved all the stories she shared of her career journey from fashion into interiors (fun fact: Amanda was once the Director of PR for Gucci in London). She clearly has an eye for style, and I am such a fan of so many of her beautiful designs. Her book Island Hopping was actually one of my first purchases for my new home in Palm Beach last summer- a must have for anyone that loves coastal style as much as I do.
In addition to linens and small home accessories, Amanda has just recently launched a new home furniture line with everything from beds, to tables, to dining sets, and everything inbetween- see it all here. I have been admiring all of Amanda’s new home designs, and I hope to one day incorporate some more of these pieces into my home one day soon!
Okay, now back to the table! While spending the Fourth of July with family in Alabama, I knew bringing some of Amanda’s beautiful colorful linens to our table would be the perfect thing to bring a touch of Palm Beach to our family’s celebration!
I was SO thrilled when I found some of Amanda’s new linens and vases available at The Avenue (one of my favorite online shops for home goods & fashion) with quick shipping just in time for the Fourth! See and shop The Avenue’s full collection of Amanda Lindroth pieces here.
When all the pretty linens arrived, I knew I wanted to let them stand out and keep the rest of the table decor fairly neutral. I stopped by Publix and the flower selection was super limited with so many people picking up flowers for the holiday, but I found a few hydrangeas, daisies, and lots of baby’s breath which made for a pretty, light, and fresh summer combo.
And for the outfit! I have been a big fan of Misa for years, and I loved the tiered ruffle style and fun print of this maxi dress. It’s made of a super lightweight cotton perfect for summer nights, and the back ruffle detail is the prettiest extra touch! I am wearing a size XS, which fit a little bit on the looser side. This dress also comes in a shorter version here that is just as pretty!
