I’ve shared my love for Hampden, one of my favorite stores in Charleston, on the blog before (see posts here and here), and today I’m excited to share my latest brand discovery from there- Samsoe Samsoe!

Stacy, the owner of Hampden, does the most incredible job buying for their store and finding unique and beautiful brands from around the world. I am someone who always loves to know the story behind the clothes I wear- where things were made, who made them, when was the brand founded, etc. I am always so curious about designers and their unique stories!

Samsoe Samsoe, the designer of this dress I found at Hampden, is a Denmark based brand rooted in Scandinavian simplicity. The brand was founded in 1993 when the Samsoe brothers opened a small jewelry shop in Copenhagen. Years later, they expanded into men’s and women’s contemporary clothes, shoes, and accessories in 2000. Their collections transcend trends and reflect the minimalist design ethos of Denmark. They aim to make their designs affordable and accessible, and many of Samsoe Samsoe’s styles are under $300, including the dress I’m wearing.

When I spotted this dress, the fabric is what caught my eye! White dresses are always some of my favorites, and I love the depth and detail of this textured floral fabric. The dress is definitely not what I would consider “slimming,” but I love the exaggerated volume of it! I am wearing a size XS for reference.

To accessorize the white midi dress, I put on some pretty blue Rebecca de Ravenel earrings (similar on sale here) that I have loved and worn for years and a miniature blue bucket bag. I always love a pop of color against all white outfits, and you can never go wrong with blue and white! This pretty white watch from MICHELE’s newest summer collection completed the blue and white look perfectly. While it’s considered a “sport” watch, I think it’s beautiful and timeless enough to wear casual or dressy!

P.s. You can shop everything from Hampden’s Charleston store online here!
