HOTEL REVIEW: THE CLOISTER AT SEA ISLAND

I recently had the chance to visit Sea Island and stay at The Cloister for The Southern C Summit, and I had the absolute best time! This hotel located on the southeastern coast of Georgia is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed, and the relaxed elegance of the resort is truly unmatched! You can always determine how great of a trip you have had somewhere by how hard it is to leave, and, let me tell you, Sea Island was nearly impossible to leave! Sea Island has everything you could want in a vacation... and more! I am hoping I have the chance to visit again soon!

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Cloister Hotel has a variety of room types located in different wings of the hotel, each with their own character and charm. We stayed in a garden view room located in the newly added Garden Wing of the hotel, and it was incredible! The decor makes you feel like you just stepped into a friend's gorgeous home, with crisp turquoise, white, and brown accents throughout the room. The bathroom was also just as beautiful with white marble and bright lighting. It was such a treat to be able to call this pretty place home for a few days! In case you are traveling with a bigger group, Sea Island also has larger suites, cottages and homes available for rent here.

DINING

One of my favorite things about The Cloister and Sea Island is the food! There are so many delicious places to eat throughout the property, and it is impossible to have a bad meal. Also, something I had to take advantage of everyday at the hotel were the complimentary cookies in the lobby... they were SO delicious (see photo below)! Here are a few of the best places to dine at Sea Island:

-The Georgian Room

-Tavola

-River Bar

-Southern Tide

-Wonderland

-In-Room Dining

ACTIVITIES

Sea Island is a resort FULL of activities. There are so many activities to choose from, I think you could stay here for a month and still not have done everything there is to do. From the beach, to the Spa, to the tennis center, to shopping, there are so many fun things to do here! Below is a short list, but you can see more here!

-Swimming
-Biking
-Boating
-Fishing
-Horseback Riding
-Water Sports
-Spa
-Tennis
-Golf
-Hunting + Shooting

SERVICE

The service at Sea Island is what makes it one of the most special and happy places to visit. From the doorman, to the front desk receptionist, to the housekeeper, to the waitress, to the spa staff and many more, I found every single person at Sea Island to be unbelievably kind and helpful! Every person was so so so friendly, and I loved getting to chat with some of the Sea Island staff that has worked on the property for years and hearing their stories of the resort!
