Whenever I'm in Fairhope, one store I always, always have to stop by is CK Collection. With an amazing selection of clothing, accessories, and shoes from so many of my favorite brands (Milly, Alice & Olivia, Rebecca Taylor, Tory Burch, Joie, Barbour, and lots more), it is definitely one of the best designer boutiques in the South!
This past weekend I stopped by CK Collection and, as always, had so much fun playing dress up in their new fall arrivals. Fall weather is far from reaching Alabama, but my mind is already dreaming of cooler days and pretty fall fashion- leather, suede, and deeper hues. Until the weather changes, I will be stocking up on more transitional pieces that can be worn both now and later.
Blush and white are definitely two of my favorite colors to wear year round (they pair well with just about any other color), but they are especially two of my favorite transitional season colors. Blush and white can be brightened up for spring/summer when paired with other light, vibrant fabrics, but they can also easily be toned down for fall/winter when paired with rich textures and darker shades.
When shopping at CK Collection this weekend, this outfit was one of the first ones I tried on, and I was immediately sold on these pink pleated palazzo pants. The combination of the blush color, breezy fit, silky fabric, and pleated detailing make these pants one of my favorite blush finds of all time. They are also so incredibly comfortable- they kind of feel like wearing pajamas! I paired the pink pants with this gorgeous embroidered Rebecca Taylor top. The ruffled neckline and dainty floral detailing make it so elegant and feminine. The light crinkled gauze fabric of the top balances out the flow of the pants and makes for a pretty chic late summer outfit. To accessorize the outfit, I added this gray saddle bag that perfectly complemented the neutral tones of the top and pants.
In today's outfit, I paired the pink and white pieces together here for a light, breezy summer night look, but each can be worn separately to create a fall/winter outfit. I would style this top again with a cognac suede skirt and booties, and I would pair these pants with a comfy, heavy-knit gray or white sweater. As the seasons change, it's time to invest in key pieces that can be worn both now and later. Making smart purchases like these now during the transitional season will keep your wardrobe feeling fresh throughout the coming fall/winter months!
