Happy Monday! Starting this week off with another outfit post from my recent trip to Argentina (see the first post here)!
Today I’m excited to introduce y’all to my newest pant obsession: “The Emmett Pant” from Madewell. The week before I was leaving for Argentina, I stopped in Madewell to pick up a couple of last minute things to take with me. As I was checking out, this olive green pair of pants behind the register caught my eye, and I knew I couldn’t leave without at least trying them on. I have always loved the look of wide leg pants but have never found a pair to fit quite right. They’ve always been too long, too wide, tight in there wrong places, or overall just too overwhelming. To my surprise, this pair fit perfectly AND they were under $100. I was sold immediately.
As much as I love my skinny jeans, I love switching things up and wearing a different pant that gives more shape and a different style to my daily outfits. They’re also just so so so comfortable. While in Argentina, I wore this outfit for a day of exploring, visiting friends, shopping, and lots of eating! One of the biggest highlights of the day was stopping by Rancho Cavalier, meeting Nico (one of Cavalier’s co-founders), and getting to be a little creative helping my brother design his new polo helmet. Another highlight was dinner at Etilo Disco where we ate pasta and risotto served family style in giant cast iron dishes to our heart’s content.. ah take me back!
I paired the pants with a simple tank top (new favorite from Free People), a leather jacket, white sandals, and this straw bag. I kept everything in the olive, green, and white color family to keep the outfit looking cohesive and pulled together. And I topped the outfit off with this Panama hat [to disguise my undone, humid hair]- a travel must have!
The best thing about my pant obsession is that the “Emmett Pant” comes in so many colors. Next on my list is this white pair. For winter, I would pair them with a black sweater, cute belt, and black slides. And later for spring/summer, they would look so crisp paired with a striped tee and colorful sandals.
