Winter in Palm Beach: Sunday Polo at IPC

DRESS: ISLAND COMPANY | SHOES: SEE BY CHLOE | BAG: CHLOE | NECKLACES: WENDY PEARLS | SUNGLASSES: CELINE | WATCH: MICHELE (C/O)

It’s been a few weeks since I was in Palm Beach, and I am missing the sunshine and warmer weather so much! It was such a joy to visit South Florida in February and partner with Lisi Lerch on their Spring Lookbook (more details to share on that soon!).

While I was in Palm Beach, I also had the chance to venture out to Wellington to watch lots of exciting polo- which (as always) was so much fun. With the USPA Gauntlet of Polo (16 teams/ 22 goal) and the World Polo League (8 teams/ 26 goal) both kicking off their seasons, there was no shortage of polo going on in Wellington! Getting to see so many young, talented players take the field in the tournaments this year was especially exciting and the games were all really competitive. I loved getting to cheer on both the Cessna and Pilot teams from Alabama! More on my Insta story highlight here.

One of the unique and really cool things about the polo sport is how small the polo community is. No matter where you go around the world - London to Buenos Aires to Florida to Boston and beyond, you always get to see the same friends and familiar faces!

On Sunday afternoon, we got to see Tonkawa (Jeff Hildebrand, Tincho Merlos, Sapo Caset, and
Sterling Giannico) take on Coca Cola (Gillian Johnston, Steve Krueger, Julian de Lusarreta, and Nacho Astrada) at International Polo Club. Tonkawa ended up coming out on top with a score of 9-7! Sunday polo at IPC is always the best- lots of sunshine, pretty ponies, beautiful flowers, and some pretty great fashion/people watching.

A little about my outfit: The morning before we headed to Wellington, I ventured down to Worth Avenue and stumbled upon this dress that I ended up wearing to polo. It’s funny how some of my favorite finds are also some of my most spontaneous purchases. I fell in love with the pretty white maxi style and delicate pleating throughout the dress. The lightweight linen fabric and flowy feel made it perfect for a day at polo. I know it’s a dress I’ll be wearing again and again this spring/summer!
