On a cold rainy January day in NYC, I rushed over to the Marlton Hotel in Greenwich Village (one of my favorite spots) for the Draper James spring preview, where I felt so lucky to get a sneak peek of their newest collection and find out about a little secret that I have been dying to share with you! Draper James has just launched a brand new shoe collection with M. Gemi (another brand I have been a long time fan of)!
Ever since that January day, I have been dreaming of spring and the launch of this collection. I think Draper James and M. Gemi absolutely hit it out of the park with these shoes and created the perfect capsule collection of work to weekend styles that you can wear all spring and summer long. I am so thrilled to get to finally share a little more about it with you!
The Draper James x M. Gemi collection is made up of 3 styles in 2 colors each- 6 shoes total. They designed the Risata- a beautiful block heel available in gingham and denim, the Pilone- a 70mm heel available in navy and tan, and the Treccia (a must have)- your perfect everyday flat summer sandal available in champagne and tan.
I have worn M. Gemi’s shoes on my blog/ instagram many times over the past several years (see here and here), and if there is one thing I have come to know about their brand is that they never sacrifice quality. I have found all of my M. Gemi shoes to be extremely well made (some pairs I have had for years/ worn countless times still look brand new) and really comfortable as well!
When previewing Draper James x M. Gemi collection, the first pair of shoes that immediately jumped out at me were these precious gingham bow sandals. The gingham and bow design make them so sweetly feminine, and the block heel makes them perfect for work or weekend. While I definitely love a high heel, there is something so great about block heel that feels a bit more more dressed up but still comfortable enough to wear all day. They would also be so cute for outdoor weddings/events this summer!
One of the other items that jumped out at me and caught my eye while previewing the collection in NYC was this adorable printed denim shift dress (also available in a solid blue here). I fell head over heels for this sweet floral print, and I love the navy and Draper James blue color combo. While the dress is denim, it has a bit of stretch to it- making it such an easy dress to throw on and go for whatever the day has in store. I love the idea of mixing prints for spring, and I liked how the navy gingham of these shoes played off the navy in the dress. I pulled today’s outfit together by also tying in the Draper James blue with this crossbody bag (more colors here)!
