Happy Wednesday! Today I'm so happy to continue sharing a bit more about my recent trip to Lexington, KY (see more here) with y'all! One of the biggest highlights of my weekend was attending The Deeply Gathering, a really special event with some of the sweetest girls!

By far one of the greatest things about blogging is the inspiring, talented, creative, and encouraging people it has brought into my life. This past February I got to spend the most wonderful winter weekend at The Kentucky Castle (more here) with Allison, Melody, and Jillian (a few of the hostesses of last weekend's event). Their hearts for each of their individual careers (blogging, art, and music) are so inspiring, and the light and joy they shine through their work is so contagious. Needless to say, it was such a sweet reunion and getting to see them and Bronwyn (another one of my sweet friends from the Kentucky Castle retreat) was such a joy. I wish we were in the same city all the time!

The Deeply Gathering was a combination of all the best things- fresh flowers, delicious treats, beautiful art, live music, and the loveliest people. The event was held at Daily Offerings in Lexington, which is a bright, light filled space only a short drive away from 21C Lexington (my home sweet home for the weekend- thank to their team for hosting me!).

The event started off with a beautiful concert from Jillian Edwards. As Jillian's angelic voice filled the room, we were all left speechless. After a few more sips and sweets and admiring Melody's pretty art around the space, Gretchen from Sunkissed Blooms led us through a floral bouquet workshop. This was my first time to attend any sort of floral workshop, and I was really surprised by how much thought and detail goes into one single floral design. I learned that making a pretty bouquet is a bit harder than it looks. It may sound silly but finding the right combination of flowers, textures, and colors can actually be quite a task. I definitely have a newfound appreciation for floral design! Overall, it was such a refreshing day and an event I only wish would've lasted a little longer. One thing I have learned is that if Allison is ever hosting an event, you better not miss it. She is certainly the hostess with the mostest!
